Fast Track Innobideak grants for business innovation projects

R&D and entrepreneurship

Turn mature innovation into real products, processes and business improvements

Fast Track Innobideak supports innovation projects developed by industrial SMEs and related service companies in the Basque Country, helping them incorporate technologies and methodologies and develop new or significantly improved products, processes and business models.

At Bavion, we assess project eligibility, structure the innovation proposal, prepare the technical and economic documentation, manage the application and support the company throughout execution and justification.

A strong innovation proposal must clearly connect the starting point, the innovation introduced, the implementation plan and the expected impact on the company.

Preparing an innovation project for Fast Track Innobideak 2027?

Company and project eligibility for Fast Track Innobideak

We assess whether the company, innovation project and planned activities meet the programme requirements before committing resources to the full application.

Determine whether Fast Track Innobideak is the right programme for your innovation

Fast Track Innobideak is aimed at SMEs carrying out industrial activities or services connected to industrial products or processes and operating from a centre located in the Basque Country.

We analyse whether the initiative represents a new or significantly improved product, process, technology application, methodology or business model with a real impact on company competitiveness.

We review the planned starting date, implementation period, company resources and other programme conditions that may determine project eligibility.

Before preparing the application, we review the company's starting point, the proposed innovation, maturity level, expected impact, resources and budget to identify potential eligibility issues and the most appropriate programme line.

Innovation projects supported by Fast Track Innobideak

Fast Track Innobideak supports mature innovation projects aimed at introducing technologies, methodologies and new business approaches with practical implementation within the company.

Identify how your innovation fits within the programme

Line 1 supports projects at advanced maturity levels, including demonstration, pilot development, testing and validation of new or significantly improved products, processes and services under representative or real operating conditions.

The programme supports the integration and use of technologies or methodologies that result in new or significantly improved products, processes or ways of working.

Projects may focus on the design and implementation of new business models that improve how the company creates, delivers and captures value through its current or future products and services.

Line 2 supports complementary innovation actions, including technical support from BDIH agents for proof-of-concept activities and technology adoption roadmaps, as well as Advanced Management – Kudeabide projects.

Funding, budget and eligible costs

We structure the project budget so that activities, internal resources, external collaborations and expenditure are consistent with programme eligibility conditions.

Build an eligible budget around how the innovation will actually be implemented

Both programme lines may fund up to 50% of eligible expenditure. Under the 2026 call, Line 1 provides up to €250,000 per beneficiary and Line 2 up to €30,000, with a combined maximum of €250,000.

Line 1 may include personnel directly dedicated to the innovation project, together with the eligible indirect costs and other internal resources required for its implementation.

Eligible expenditure may include instruments and equipment used during the project, materials and supplies, and certain externally acquired patent or licensing costs.

We structure specialised innovation support, technological collaborations and subcontracted activities required to execute the project and review the applicable limits and documentary requirements.

Technical and economic proposal preparation

We transform the innovation initiative into a structured proposal connecting the company's starting point, novelty, work plan, expected impact, team and budget.

Turn the innovation project into a clear and defensible funding proposal

We define the innovation challenge, objectives, scope, phases, activities, milestones, deliverables, responsibilities and implementation plan.

We prepare and coordinate the technical and economic documentation required for the application, ensuring consistency between the project narrative, resources and budget.

We explain the company's starting point, the novelty introduced by the project, expected results and the impact the innovation can generate on competitiveness and future development.

Before submission, we review the proposal against the aspects considered by the programme, strengthening innovation, impact, methodology, team capacity and budget coherence.

Application, execution and justification

We support the administrative and documentary management of Fast Track Innobideak from application through project execution, monitoring and final justification.

Manage the project beyond the initial application

We coordinate the company information, technical-economic report, supplier documentation and other evidence required and support the electronic submission of the application.

We monitor the application and support the company in responding to requests for correction or additional information during the assessment process.

After approval, we support project monitoring and documentary control and help manage changes, deviations or extensions that may require communication or approval by SPRI.

We prepare and coordinate the documentation required to demonstrate the work carried out, results achieved and expenditure incurred and paid during project implementation.
