Grants for entrepreneurship and innovative business creation

Line 1 supports entrepreneurs and recently created companies throughout the process of developing the business idea, analysing its viability and preparing the Business Plan until the project is ready to move into implementation.

Line 2 supports new business opportunities developed within existing Basque companies. The project must represent a diversification of the company's current activity and can lead to the launch or incorporation of a new business entity.

Eligible expenditure can include project-related business and specialist training, external consulting and technical assistance, market and prospecting studies, trade fairs and commercial prospecting trips, as well as prototypes and mock-ups, subject to approval by the BIC supporting the project.

A Business Innovation Center plays a formal role in validating, supporting and monitoring the project. Bavion can work alongside this process by structuring the business project, preparing the Business Plan and supporting documentation, defining the eligible budget and coordinating the application and subsequent justification.

Area 1 supports the development and definition of new innovative business projects or new business units arising from intrapreneurship. The objective is to analyse and structure the opportunity before the new activity or company is fully launched.

Depending on the project, eligible activities can include feasibility and market studies, technical reports, conceptual development, specialist advice, industrial property, certifications and other actions required to validate and prepare the business project.

Area 2 supports the launch and initial development of newly created innovative companies in Bizkaia. It is aimed at companies that have already moved beyond the idea stage and need resources to consolidate the beginning of their business activity.

Support can cover different eligible costs associated with company creation and launch, industrial property, premises, external services and certain recruitment costs, depending on the conditions of the call.

Area 3 is aimed at established companies seeking to address innovation challenges through collaboration with startups and the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

It supports the design and implementation of collaborative innovation initiatives, including external specialist support and programmes that connect corporate challenges with startups, under the framework established by Bizkaia and Beaz.

Area 4 supports innovative companies that have already been created and are entering a new growth stage. The objective is to accelerate the business, increase turnover and employment, enter new markets and strengthen its competitive position.
